What is Love in Action?
Love in Action is how PPUMC seeks to put our faith into action and better meet the needs of our neighbors. We do this by…
- Serving free, freshly cooked dinners to over 80 people each month;
- Providing meeting space for folks recovering from alcohol addition;
- Hearing the delighted cries of neighborhood children as they discover hidden eggs the day before Easter;
- Passing on over $12,000 a year to area nonprofits, money given by those attending our Community Concert series, for which musicians donate their time and talent;
- Keeping our free Food Pantry stocked with non-perishable goods;
- Supporting children in learning to care for all creation in fun ways;
- Hosting talks & conversations in the areas of Anti-racism, Gun Violence, and How to Talk with Those Whose Political Beliefs Differ from Ours;
- Connecting with students at Hamline & the U of MN;
- Providing space for neighborhood groups to meet, Dignity to worship, and neighborhood families to hold weddings and funerals.
We are inviting you to become part of Love in Action! We are asking for your participation, your prayers, and your financial support.
We are asking you to pledge your support for PPUMC and this work. We are asking for people to provide financial support for this work. If you have made a financial pledge in the past, we ask you to thoughtfully consider renewing or growing our pledge for 2025. If you have never pledged before, we ask you to consider making a pledge for the first time.
