Here at Prospect Park UMC, we have been running the monthly Community Meals program since January and have committed to doing a meal on the third Wednesday of each month on a continuous basis.
While we are able to purchase food through the Loaves & Fishes warehouses at a greatly reduced rate, there are some food items like spices and gluten free ingredients that are not available and we have to purchase separately. There are also kitchen utensils and equipment that are needed to make food preparation easier.
This shower will be a time to both celebrate the crew who run and support the Community Meals and a time to provide gifts of needed kitchen items. We will play games, eat great treats, and share space together at PPUMC’s Community Hall.
