The PPUMC 2016-17 Community Concert Series is back for it’s seventh year! This series features one free concert per month from September 2016 through May 2017. Donations are accepted to support a multitude of area nonprofits and community organizations, with 100% of proceeds going back into the community.
Next up, performing for the first time in the series is Tjärnblom on Saturday, November 19 at 7 pm in the PPUMC sanctuary. Swedish for “woodland lake flower”, Tjärnblom is a Scandinavian-style string band featuring a beautiful blend of Nyckelharpa, Octave Mandolin and Harmonium. The concert will benefit Families Moving Forward, working to end homelessness one family at a time. A program of Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, Families Moving Forward offers families experiencing homelessness hospitality, emergency shelter and a path to home with support for stability.
