It is the intention of Bishop Lanette Plambeck to appoint Pastor Paul Baudhuin to PPUMC (3/4 time) and acting on behalf of the congregation, the Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) has affirmed the Bishop’s intention. Help us continue to serve at our Community Meals Shower on Aug 10!
Here at Prospect Park UMC, we have been running the monthly Community Meals program since January and have committed to doing a meal on the third Wednesday of each month on a continuous basis. While we are able to purchase food through the Loaves & Fishes warehouses at a greatly reduced rate, there are some food items like spices and gluten free ingredients that are not available and we have to purchase separately. Kicking off our 2024 Stewardship Campaign: SPLASH Love Around!
During the month of October, we will be raising money for 2024 via our Stewardship Campaign. This year’s theme is: SPLASH Love Around! We need $160,000 in pledges to meet our 2024 budget and we are asking you to prayerfully consider how you can contribute to the pool that makes all our work possible. Rose will be planning music for worship, directing the choir, and providing accompaniment on the piano and the organ. From June 16th – September 3rd, the parking lot at Pratt Elementary School will be unavailable due to construction. During this time, please park on the streets around the church, carpool or use public transportation. New Rooted Series: Our Beliefs as UMC
This Sunday, May 7 we will begin a new series for Rooted: Spiritual Formation (formerly known as Adult Education). This series, happening from May through June will be discussing “Our Beliefs as UMC.” We will be covering topics such as sin, the Wesleyan concept of grace, and liberal vs. conservative theology. Parking Update for April 2, 2023
The streets have been plowed around the church so street parking should be available, but the Pratt parking lot has not been plowed and the driveway is blocked with snow. Please park on the street if you’re planning to attend in person today. Happy Sunday!
