Are you looking for an opportunity for your child to learn the Christmas story and participate in a Christmas pageant this year? Consider A Christmas Pageant ~ A Play in a Day. This creative theater experience will be held at Prospect Park United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 14. Students will rehearse and perform a Christmas Pageant under the direction of local theater professionals. Kids will learn the story, create the costumes and set, improvise the dialogue, and add their own unique spin to this age-old story. The day will end with a public performance and a reception (with a visit from Santa Claus!).
Who: Students enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade. Preschoolers are welcome to join the production as walk-on characters, joining the group in the afternoon. For more info on preschoolers, contact Rebekah (contact information below).
When: 9:00am – 4:15pm, Saturday, December 14. Performance begins at 3:45pm. Doors open at 3:30pm.
Where: Prospect Park United Methodist Church, 22 Orlin Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.
Food: Lunch and snacks will be provided. Dietary restrictions should be noted on the registration form.
Cost: $25 (this includes lunch and snacks). Scholarships are available for any student. Just check the box on the registration form. No extra paperwork is needed. The actual cost of this event is being underwritten by Prospect Park United Methodist Church.
Experience: Do students need theater experience? Absolutely not! Students need to come with the ability to follow directions and have the emotional and physical stamina for a long (but fun!) day.
