Update 3/12/2020:
Hi, everyone –
Mary Britton
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we are postponing the Climate Action Plan kickoff until the crisis has passed. The PPA Environment Committee will continue to promote efficiency in residential energy use, but will do so through other means.
Thank you so much for everyone’s help, support and encouragement. All the preparatory work done so far will be of use when we eventually do have our celebration kickoff!
Take care of yourselves!
PPA Environment Committee Chair
Celebrate the end of winter by visiting with friends and neighbors while enjoying cookies and a hot drink. There will be activities and games for kids.
Prospect Park Association‘s Environment Committee and climate action partners are joining together to transition Prospect Park to increased sustainability and resilience in the face of climate change. The kickoff celebration of the neighborhood’s Climate Action Plan is on Saturday, March 28th from 10 am to 2 pm at Prospect Park United Methodist Church. While there, be sure to sign up for a Home Energy Squad visit. Already had a Home Energy Squad visit and not sure of what to do with the results? Stop by CEE’s Energy Advisor table for advice from experts. Information on rebates, financing and where to find the best contractors will be available.
Enter a free drawing at the event to win a $50 Fresh Thyme gift card. Thank you to Fresh Thyme for donating two gift cards in support of PPA’s Climate Action Plan kick-off event.
This is the first of several events that will provide resources, information and assistance in helping neighbors transition to no pollution sustainability. For more information, please contact the PPA Environment committee at environment@prospectparkmpls.org.
If you live in the 55414 zip code, are 65 or older and need a ride to the kickoff, please call Southeast Seniors at 612-331-2302 to make arrangements.
